I grew up on a small farm, where we had chickens, raised our own beef and I milked the cow every evening. (My Dad milked in the mornings. I’ve never been an early riser.) We produced grass hay from the main pasture, and we fertilized that pasture with manure taken from the barn.
All of which would have been impossible without the help of our trusty old Fordson tractor (which was very similar to the one shown above). It mowed and hauled and spread, day after day, without complaint - except for the constant racket due to the lack of any muffler! (I’m surprised I didn’t go deaf as a teenager.)

Every year our small town puts on a “Touch-a-Truck” event, and this year was no exception.
It was a pretty beat up two-tone blue 1980-something Ford pickup. But the two guys in the cab were both laughing and having a great time.
